All Massages may be a combination of any of the techniques listed
below. Please advise them of what works best for you.
Swedish Massage - light to
moderate pressure with long, fluid strokes toward the heart that increases circulation, and improves muscle
tone.
Deep Tissue Massage - a
stronger massage consisting of slow, deep strokes that stimulates muscles and is very helpful for consistent or
athletic pain.
Thai
Massage - also known as lazy man's yoga done on a mat where the client is
put in various stretching positions with applied pressure to energy lines in the
body.
Shiatsu - a Japanese pressure point technique
using fingers, palms, fists and knees on meridians or energy lines of the body done on a mat on the
floor.
Aromatherapy - the use of single or blended
essential oils used in healing.
Myofascial Release - gentle application of
sustained pressure into connective tissue restrictions like adhesions and scar tissue. Gentle pressure applied
slowly will allow the fascia to elongate thus more movement and less pain.
Magnetotherapy - the use of high powered
magnets placed on the body for healing purposes that aid in circulation by inducing cellular electrical
stimulation.
Lymphatic Drainage - uses a very light technique to gently
increase the flow of lymph fluid, which helps the nodes and vessels clear dead cells, waste products and excess
water which bolsters the immune system.
