There are 3 basic ways to increase and transform your
energy in your yoga practice;
1) Breath
2) Sound and vibration and,
3) Movement
When you move in a yoga posture and from one posture to
the next in a series of postures you do so by listening to and moving with your breath. Your breath
determines how quickly and deeply you move into a posture. Your breath determines your bodies
boundaries.
Your strength moves come on your
exhalation.
So, you are in a posture breathing deeply. You engage
the muscles very subtly on exhalation to hold your bones and joints in their proper place. But, you don't
engage so much that you shut down the energy flow or your breath.
You feel strong and grounded, no struggle and your neck is
relaxed.
On your exhale with abs subtly drawn in you move from
one posture to the next or if your body is telling you to hold longer or go deeper you go deeper into the
posture.
