Aspen Yoga - Relaxation

Sometimes if you could choose just one Yoga Posture you'd choose Svasana (Corpse Pose), final relaxation.

You've worked hard, focused concentrated and breathed more than you can remember.  Your abs and core feel solid and alive.  You've warmed up and created inner space, moved intelligently listening to your breaths cue on how quickly and deeply to move into the posture and when to move from one posture to the next.

You've held the postures, relaxed your brain and let go of the struggle until you feel alive.  Now it's time to reap the rewards of your work.

Svasana is where you no longer hold or struggle.

As you lie down you feel the support of the earth below you and your bones and organs settle down into the nurturing of mother earth.  Release your eyes into your eye sockets.  Release your tongue into your lower jaw.  Take your awareness from your skin to your muscles, from your muscles to your bones and in your bones find the very core center of yourself.

In the core center of yourself find the silence.  And in the silence find complete rejuvenation, healing and balance.

Ahhh, Svasana . . . where the fruits of your work come together as everything lets go.  You feel whole, balanced, relaxed and rejuvenated.
