Shoulder Shrugs
Set up - sitting or standing hands out to sides, palms face down
- Inhaling-expanding upper back and chest
- Hold inhale, lift shoulders, (Neck soft)
- Hold inhale, Front of Shoulders back,
- Hold inhale, Squeeze top 2 inches of muscles below neck along spine together
- Exhaling just a little, squeezing together and pulling down 2 inches
- Disengage, feel for where you left off – Engage next 3- 5 inches (between shoulder
blades), exhaling pulling down
- Dis-engage, Bring inner, lower tips of Shoulder blades towards each other, Squeezing
together lightly, exhaling pulling down – 1 inhale to 3 shorter exhales
Repeat 4-X
