    Basic Terms & Moves

    Core: the area from pelvic floor to inner top of skull

    Hand Active: spreading all of the bones in your hands and spreading fingers

    Feet Active:

    sitting with leg or legs straight - pulling heel towards calf, pressing ball of foot forward, pulling toes back towards shin

    standing: lifting toes, arches and balancing weight between inner and outer feet

    Wrapping Shoulder Blades: bring your arms up to a 90 degree angle with hands active, draw shoulder blades down the back, using chest muscles broaden upper back - bring forearms towards each other and parallel, wrapping shoulder blades away from spines and towards chest

    Tucking Tail Bone:

    standing: pelvis is neutral - use buttocks muscles and pull tail bone down and away from skull

    lying down: pull tail bone away from skull, curl pubic bone towards navel

    Diaphragm: dome shape muscle at the top of abdominal cavity.  It runs from side to side and front to back of solar plexus
