"How I Work"

Expected Results

When you work with me you can expect to feel immediate changes in your body - you'll feel more balanced and centered throughout your day.

Your aches and pains will be reduced or eliminated once and for all.  You'll feel stronger, more alive and limber.  You'll discover the deeper connections between your thoughts and feelings and how they're reflected in your body.

My Approach to Group Classes

I work in a structured course format.  Each Course has six (6)-90 minute classes, meeting twice weekly for three (3) weeks.

The Course format is step by step - so you learn from the ground up.    You learn the most basic and fundamental elements of breathing (Pranayama), core awareness and development, yoga postures (Asana), movement and energy management and relaxation.

This Approach Guarentees That You'll develop a solid foundation and understanding of what you are doing and why.  It's kind of like building a house.  If you don't have a solid and properly aligned and set foundation - then, when you go up a level there is stress on the structure - so you struggle or worse . . . you injure yourself.

Each class builds upon the previous class.  At the end of the course you have a foundation and understanding which you can from for many years.

  • Class size is strictly limited to 10 registrants so you get the proper attention needed.  It's my job to give you the attention and care you need to stay safe while at the same time working at the level you need.
  • All students are registered for the course (no drop -ins).  Everyone in class is on the same page so there is no competition or unfamiliar  or confused energy in the classroom.  All students new to my teaching (regardless of your experience) begin with the "Intro To Yoga".
  • You get verbal, visual and hands on adjustments so your body knows exactly the proper position that is right for you and what it feels like.
  • Upon completion of the "Intro To Yoga" if you feel comfortable, and with my approval you may move on to the next deeper level of instruction  - the "Intermediate Course".

Many Students repeat "Intro To Yoga" and move forward when they feel confident they are ready.  You can work very deeply at the beginning level, you are just more conscious.

Course Materials:   so you can begin to practice at home and between classes - written instructions of each posture, exercise and sequencing are distributed with each class.
