Shoulder Shrugs

Set up - sitting or standing hands out to sides, palms face down

  • Inhaling-expanding upper back and chest
  • Hold inhale, lift shoulders, (Neck soft)
  • Hold inhale, Front of Shoulders back,
  • Hold inhale, Squeeze top 2 inches of muscles below neck along spine together
  • Exhaling just a little, squeezing together and pulling down 2 inches
  • Disengage, feel for where you left off – Engage next 3- 5 inches (between shoulder blades), exhaling pulling down
  • Dis-engage, Bring inner, lower tips of Shoulder blades towards each other, Squeezing together lightly, exhaling pulling down – 1 inhale to 3 shorter exhales
