Svasana (Corpse Pose) Final Relaxation

Set up: lying on back, take hands comfortably out to sides palms face up, let feet go

  • release eyes into back of eye sockets, tongue into lower jaw
  • take your awareness from your skin to your muscles, muscles to bones
  • in the bones find the very core center of yourself in the core center of yourself find the silence
  • in the silence find complete rejuvenation healing and balance

stay 5-10 minutes - let no thoughts work for you

to come out:

  • from the center of the silence bring your awareness to your breath
  • merging the vitality of your breath with the healing energy in your heart
  • move this energy with your breath to any areas of congestion, soreness or discomfort
  • visually see yourself as whole and balanced, perfect just as you are, fully in your body and connected to the earth with a strong and supple structure

to come up:

  • bending one knee, draw the foot along the ground up towards the buttocks so your sacrum (lower spine in pelvis) is comfortable - and then the other leg
  • give yourself a breath or two so your bones settle and adjust and gently roll over to one side - give your bones another couple of breaths to adjust
  • take your top hand on the ground at shoulder to face height, then using one hand and then the other, gently press up little by little to sitting position

Sitting comfortably - if you need put your hands behind you, form a high bridge with fingers, bend elbows

Sit with shoulders over hips - breathe into pelvis legs and feet - then use your breath with rib cage to adjust your spine and support your head

Bring your palms together, heal of hands to sternum, fingers to the world around you

Namaste:  (a common salutation used in eastern philosophies) translates into - from the place in me which is divine, I salute the place in you which is divine
